For engineering equipment to have a long service life, it’s crucial to stick to the right maintenance rhythm. The core maintenance intervals for the 914K (L24, BF4) are divided by operating hours—even beginners can follow this guide flawlessly!
-
Transfer Drive:Replace with TDTO oil (3.2L/0.85gal). Matching plugs/O-rings:385-3599 (drain plug, used for front differential), 499-2184 (fill plug), 464-9487 (level check plug) + 6V-3922 O-Ring.
-
Front/Rear Differential + Final Drive: 7.5L (1.98gal) of oil per differential; 2.3L (0.61gal) of oil per final drive hub. Rear differential requires 2 pcs of 385-3599 + 2 pcs of 385-3600 (both with seals included); 1 pc of 385-3599 (with seal included) per front/rear final drive.
-
Basic item: Replace with 452-6006 base application grease.
-
Full set of filters: Engine oil filter (7W-2326) with 8.8L (2.32gal) of engine oil; main fuel filter (1R-1804) & secondary fuel filter (441-511); main air filter (528-0585) & hydraulic filter (421-5479); cab air filters (270-9018 for fresh air + 313-2458 for recirculation).
-
1000 hours: Repeat the oil change and plug/seal replacement operations from the initial 500 hours.
-
1500 hours: Replace engine crankcase breather element (273-5711) and secondary element (346-6688).
-
2000 hours: Replace 98L (25.89gal) of hydraulic oil. Meanwhile, replace 286-1016 (Standard Drain Plug), 101-4639 (Eco Drain), 2M-8780 (Drain O-Ring); also replace 2 pcs of Filter O-Rings (8C-3082/4F-4097).
-
3000/6000/12000 hours: Replace thermostat (254-2267) + O-Ring (254-2270) and belt (171-2321), A/C Compressor (382-8827) at 3000 hours; add 0.4L (0.11gal) of Engine Coolant Extender (depending on S.O'Ssm coolant sampling results) at 6000 hours; replace 21.5L (5.55gal) of coolant at 12000 hours.
Stick to this schedule, and the stability of your 914K will be maximized!
